OpenIddict เป็น opensource project เอาไว้สร้าง authorization server โดยจะเจาะจงแค่การตรวจสอบสิทธิ์การเข้าถึงเท่านั้น (Authorization) ส่วนในเรื่องการตรวจสอบความถูกต้องของผู้ใช้งานนั้น (Authentication) จะเป็นแบบใดก็สามารถเอามาใช้ร่วมกับ OpenIddict ได้
